Dire Straights by Keto

Avery vs. Chance.

Chance can see the huge grin across Avery's face, in the midst of the muggy dim room-- he's not bluffing. Chance knows the situation, and he's met not with anger, but rather just a sigh in despair. He knows what's coming.

---------------------------

A birthday commission from Croc to Chance. Arrow helped as well with the card situation.

This picture is a bit of a doozie. Details are very much present. Almost everything in the picture was done purposely, with a lot being metaphorical. I'll do a quick breakdown of just a few as examples:

The power-switch in the background is on Avery's side-- Avery is obviously the one in power at the moment.

There's a difference in chairs. Avery is feeling almighty in his big and cushioned chair, while Chance is feeling belittled in his short and non-cushioned chair.

Et Cetera.

Oh, and Avery is <3 I feel lucky, getting to be one of the first to draw him.

Medium: photoshop
Tags: wolf canine alcohol Furry dog anthro fur animals commission playing dogs husky anthropomorphic birthday texas cards victory poker holdem vodka
syringe_test by Keto

So I just purcahsed ArtRage 2, beacuse I've been seeing what awesome artwork people could do with it...plus it's only 20 bucks.

So here's a first test picture, just fooling around and getting a bit familiar with the program.

ArtRage is feels very different from any art program I've ever used. It's got some good stuff, some being things I've never experienced in other art programs, but on the same time, still has a few minor things I don't personally like about it, but it's still new, so I'm sure I could work my way around that.

It's pretty fun to mess with, and hopefully I'll be able to really take advantage of this program....

My favorite part of this entire piece though, is probably the handwriting.

Special thanks to Tyk, for choosing the word, "syringe," it works out perfectly. :3

Medium: ArtRage2
Tags: cigar smoke artrage
A few things inspired this pic. For one, it's a gift pic, kinda for Valintines Day, for Tyk, despite the lack of shades of red.

Also, Kitsune Zero did a pic recently with fake beans in a can thing, and did some motion effect thing, so I wanted to try it (ex: diving board).

I also wanted to have mor examples of the kind of commissions I will be taking very soon. *HINT HINT HINT*

Medium: flash
Tags: Tiger canine cute pool summer tycoon keto
Vinegar by Keto

I drew Keto, so of course I had to draw Tycoon.

Here's Tycoon in some kind armor and a banner on his back....I've had this idea in my head for a full-finished picture...this sketch is similar to that idea that I will EVENTUALLY do.

I was doodling this today, at a funeral viewing, and my cousins thought he was a bear or a wolf....so I guess I suck. =D Though my 3-year-old baby sister knew it was a tiger...

Experimented a bit with this picture, I used this smudger pencil thing that I had but never used. I wasn't too pleased with how the fur came out in this piece though. OH WELL, twas just a sketch, which is nice cause I usually don't sketch pieces this fast or often, so it feels good to be doodling almost daily.

Alright alright, so I 'll admit...Kashra was right....banners > flags.

Medium: pencil
Tags: Tiger warrior armor war tycoon
Giant Proclomations by Keto

"You see giant proclomations,
are all very well
but our Love...is louder than words."
~"Sunday" by Blocparty

Hearing those lyrics, and the music and the guitar solo after all that, for whatever reason, made me think of a scene of Tyk in astronaught uniform in a spaceship, sitting next to the window and gazing at the stars, looking scared....and Keto would come up beside him and take his hand and hold it tightly and just look up at Tyk wihle Tyk looked into space as his reflection looked back at him.

And as the guitar solo plays, the tiger's scared...and doubtful, uncertain of what's out there. Keto takes his hand and with soft words, assures him that whatever is out there, it's nothing bigger than the two of them together.

*sap*

I experimented with this....cause I'm working on my pencil work, so I tried out smudging and crap which I usuaully don't really do, I kina like and see some potential though, so more experimentation to come eventually.

Medium: pencil
Tags: Tiger canine music space party tycoon keto inspired bloc

Painting Block- Nemmy by Keto

I created painting-blocks as belated Chrtistmas gifts for people to give out at FC. These were a lot of fun to do, and were designed to be hung up on a wall by simplying balancing them on a thumb tack. I gave as much as I could with my money and my time, I was painting all these painting-block gifts up until the night right before FC07. If you did NOT receive one from me, that does NOT mean I don't like you or anything. If it was possible, I'd make one for everyone.

SO FOR THOSE WHO I GAVE PAINTING BLOCKS, you don't HAVE to hang them on the wall, but that's how they were designed. And also, to those I h ave painting blocks too, a photograph would be VERY much appreciated! Preferrably in multiple views like the picture currently posted. THANK YOU

Another painting block, done for Nemmy. It's done based on his character, a red dragon with horns and crap....canines are better, but I drew a dragon for the sake of being nice. ;3

Medium: acrylic paint
Tags: dragon reptile nemmy
Midnight Feast For One by Keto

I love doing seasonal art. So much fun.

As I've been doing lately, I've REALLY been trying to stretch my style versatility. So I've ben trying real hard to get a more toony style down. This pic and my style lately have been HEAVILY HEAVILY HEAVILY inspired by Mr. Mutley James. This piece of art specifically is SUPER heavily inspired by one of his specific peices. If you don't know his art, you NEED to witness his crap at http://www.furaffinity.net/user/mutley

Mr. Belic Bear ( http://www.furaffinity.net/user/belicbear ) advertised art for the Furfright furry con thingy....so I decided I'd get more involved and do a picture for that.... lucky thing, my class required me to do some digital art, so perfect timing, I get to use this for class also.

Medium: flash
Tags: bear otter cub art cubs holloween seasonal

Tribute to the Chief by Keto

Tribute to the Chief
18" x 24"

(note: Was too big to scan, so a digital photograph was the best I could do. For the record, I want to say the photograph, in terms of colors mainly, does not give the original piece any justice.)

A great and noble wolf chief deserves a portrait at the least. The feather headdress emphasizes his might while the cloak emphasizes his wisdom, and his eyes for trust.

This was done as a final project for my Painting Composition I class, and I had tons of fun with it. I loved playing with the earth tones, and it was a good practice for realism.

My goal for this painting was to have an overall warm feel, with the wolf, of course, being the main focus.

So I turned it in, got a quick overall critique for the class, and ran off to take Kashra to the airport.

Lollipop Tiger by Keto

I feel a bit guilty, so I offer him a lollipop. Sorry Tyk
_______

I should've been working on homework but I wanted to really do something cause I didn't know what to say.

More style experimentation. I love drawing toes like this though, and swirlies are awesome. Just a doodle, so I didn't even bother to shade or highlight much. Was trying out really thick line strokes as well. As well as attempting to go fast....

Medium: flash
Tags: Tiger canine cute romance romantic homosexual tycoon keto
